Hide

Shut in and shut away, inside an occupant views  life going on, but doesn’t participate. It is a quiet vulnerable space, slightly dull and not very comfortable. Mirrored windows block an observer from seeing inside. The outside colour of the Hide reflects where it has been placed, an attempt to blend in.
In contrast, by its size, the piece demands to be seen. It asserts a presence. It demands larger-than-life space on behalf of the unseen occupant.
